Police hunt six men involved in horrific ‘violent and coordinated’ gang rapes

A manhunt is underway in the US for a group of men accused of two horrific gang rapes where they robbed two young couples and ordered the male victims to watch as they forced themselves on their girlfriends.

The attacks have been labelled “violent and coordinated” by local authorities.

It’s understood they occurred nearly two hours apart last Thursday night when the young couples were walking on a street and the attackers approached them armed with handguns.

The attacks could be part of a growing network of gang rapists in the area after a similar rape and robbery on July 11.

In both instances, the men took the couples into a “grassy, secluded” alley, stole their clothes and raped the women.

Detectives say one of the men produced a gun and pointed it at both the victims, demanding they go towards the alley.

Both victims complied and they were forced to the ground and the male victim was forced to watch the female victim get sexually assaulted.

Their clothing was then taken.

Six men took part in the first attack on a 22-year-old man and 21-year-old woman at 10:00pm, while four took part in the second attack of 19-year-old woman and a 21-year-old man at 11:40pm. In each scenario, all the men joined in the gang rape.

They fled on foot afterwards.
