Police hunt trio behind frightening carjacking in Sydney’s south west

Police are appealing for information following a car-jacking at Canley Vale, in Sydney’s south west on Friday night.

It was around 8.30pm when the 46-year-old man was allegedly accosted by three men as he went to get into his car which was parked on Canley Vale Road.

It’s alleged one of the men grabbed the 46-year-old and demanded the keys to his green Honda CRV.


A second man took the keys from the owner and all three jumped in the vehicle and took off.

The Honda was last driving south on Phelps Street and Bartley Street.

Although left without a car, fortunately, the 46-year-old man was uninjured.

Police are still searching for the car-jackers.

Two of the offenders have been described as being of Caucasian appearance, 180-185cm tall and wearing a hooded jumper.

The third is described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, 185-190cm tall, of large build with shoulder length black hair.

He was seen wearing a black jacket and long pants.

Anyone with information is urged to come forward.
