Police hunt Wollongong stabbing victim’s attacker

A MAN is recovering in hospital with multiple stab wounds following a frenzied knife attack in Wollongong.

Police said the 29-year-old man was found with several stab wounds to his arm and back at a unit block on Edward Street around 1.35am on Wednesday morning.

He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Wollongong Hospital in a stable condition.


Detectives are now searching for a man who they say may be able to assist them with their investigation.

He is only described as having a beard and was last seen wearing a black beanie, black pants, a multi-coloured flannelette top and a black jacket.
