Police hunting man after cab driver robbed at knifepoint in Woodridge

Police are hunting a man wanted over the armed robbery of a cab driver at Woodridge overnight.

Just before midnight, officers said the taxi driver was travelling along Cypress Street when a male passenger pulled out a knife and demanded he stop the taxi and hand over all his money.

The driver, a 26-year-old man, handed over his cash and the male passenger ran from the cab.


The man, who is described as Pacific Islander in appearance with a heavy build and approximately 178cms tall, was last seen running through Willow Park.

Investigations are ongoing.
