Police hunting man over sexual assault of 17yo girl at Alexandra Headlands

Queensland police have released a comfit image of a man as investigations into the sexual assault of a 17-year-old girl at Alexandra Headlands continue.

It’s understood the girl was walking along the access path to Alexandra Beach around 11.15am on March 14, when she was approached by a man.

“She ignored the man’s approach and continued walking from the beach towards the intersection of Pacific Terrace and Alexandra Parade,” Qld police said in a statement.

“The man continued to follow her before inappropriately grabbing her. She then pushed the man away and continued to walk away.”

The man was last seen getting into a silver “sports type” sedan, possibly a Holden Commodore.

He is described as being Caucasian, in his late twenties to mid-thirties, approximately 187cm, with a large build and scruffy, dirty blonde hair.
