Police hunting masked ‘hi-vis thief’ following Varsity Lakes robbery
A MAN dressed in a hi-vis shirt has robbed a Varsity Lakes service station armed with a knife.
The man stormed the Burmuda Street business just after 9.10pm last night, threatening a 24-year-old male employee.
He got away with cash and cigarettes and was last seen crossing Bermuda Street and heading towards Cassowary Drive.
The thief is described as having a dark complexion and possibly of Indian descent, and possibly aged in his mid-20s to 30.
He was wearing a hooded jumper and a hi-vis shirt and mask over his face.
Investigations are continuing.
