Police hunting three men over Gold Coast, Logan break-ins

Police are investigating whether two separate break-ins on the Gold Coast and Logan yesterday are linked.

Three masked men broke into a tobacconist on Oakey Creek Rd at Coomera around 1am on Thursday morning.

The gang damaged a number of cupboards before stealing cigarettes and fleeing.

A bottle shop at Logan Village was broken into less than an hour later, also by three masked men.

The group smashed a glass door before taking numerous bottles of alcohol and escaping in a black SUV along Logan Street.

That SUV is believed to have been stolen from Calamvale on Tuesday morning.
