Police identify dead man found bound and naked inside Gold Coast townhouse

A MAN found dead, bound and naked on the floor of a Varsity Lakes townhouse has been identified as Gregory John Hudson.

It’s understood the 57-year-old carpenter caught a bus to the Gold Coast from Sydney on Monday.

A male flatmate found Mr Hudson’s body tied up with no obvious injuries inside the Mulgrave Crescent duplex yesterday.

Detectives are reportedly investigating whether kinky sex with a call girl may have led to the mysterious death.

The Gold Coast Bulletin reports a woman taken from the scene in a blue forensic suit was believed to be a sex worker.

She’d reportedly been with Mr Hudson around the time of his death and asked neighbours to call her a taxi after “something bad” had happened.

Both her and the man who found Mr Hudson are currently assisting police with their investigations.

Nine News journalist Darren Curtis said Mr Hudson had been very active catching a number of taxi’s around the Gold Coast since arriving four days ago and had visited a number of properties right across the city during this time.

Police are urging anyone who may have met Mr Hudson during his time on the Gold Coast to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
