Police in bullet proof vests surround Labrador street

FRIGHTENING scenes on the Gold Coast as police in bullet proof vests draw their guns and surround a Labrador Street this afternoon.

Multiple crews, including the police dog squad, gathered on Wilson Street shortly before 1pm before swooping on a home in nearby Robert Street.

Police were seen hiding at the end of the street with their guns drawn. Two people have reportedly been arrested, including a suspect gunman.

The area was cordoned off and a roadblock set up on Robert Street with police checking every vehicle.

Officers searching the suspect property have allegedly seized a handgun.
