Police incident stops Gold Coast trains, passengers warned of lengthy delays

TRAINS have been stopped on the Gold Coast this afternoon following a ‘police incident’ at Robina.

Services have been suspended in both directions between Nerang and Varsity Lakes due to an incident on the tracks.

Emergency services are on the scene but police have refused to comment on the nature of the incident.

Replacement buses are being arranged to ferry passengers between stations.

Passengers are being warned to expect delays of up to 60 minutes.
