Man, teen girl attacked by armed men in Wagga

Officers say a 17-year-old girl sat in a blue Holden Commodore station wagon that was parked in Ziegler Avenue while a 24-year-old man went into a nearby unit block around 11.45pm.

They then allegedly smashed some of the car’s windows with the bat, before the girl ran away and alerted police.

She was not injured, however the man was treated at Wagga Wagga Referral Hospital for a cut to his leg.

Descriptions of three males have been obtained, with all three described as being Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance.

The male armed with the baseball bat has been further described as having a large build. He was wearing a grey hooded jumper.

The male armed with the knife was wearing a baseball cap and hooded jumper; while a third male was described as wearing a baseball cap and white singlet.
