Police investigate violent Logan home invasion

A LOGAN couple is recovering after a terrifying home invasion just north of the Gold Coast.

At around 10.30am on Tuesday, three men entered the driveway of a Cornubia residence where they were met by a woman.

After introducing themselves as fire ant inspectors, they were challenged by the woman who demanded she see identification.

They refused and then forced entry into the California Creek Road house and assaulted both the woman and a man who was inside at the time.

One of the offenders was armed with a knife and made demands for money while threatening the couple.

After going through the house and the outdoor shed, they left with a sum of cash and other property from the home. They were last seen driving a metallic bronze sedan.

Two of the men are thought to be of Pacific Islander appearance, one in his mid to late 30s the other in his 20s, both with a solid build.

The third man is of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 50s and around 163cm tall, with blue eyes and facial stubble.

All three men were last seen wearing black and orange work shirts and cream-coloured broad brimmed hats.
