Investigations are underway after a dead body was found in a sewer in Brisbane.
The body was found by workers in a holding tank at a sewage pump station at Wynnum yesterday.
Queensland police are treating the death as suspicious, as they work to formally identify the man.

It’s believed detectives have identified the man, though they are still checking missing person reports.
It’s unclear how long the body has been in the sewer, though it could have been several weeks according to police.
Police divers had to wear contamination suits when retrieving the body, before plumbers were called in to vacuum the sewage from the tank.
A crime scene has since been established, and investigations are continuing.
