Police investigating armed robbery in Nerang

Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery of a business in Nerang on Tuesday night.

A man armed with a knife attempted to hold up a Lavelle Street business at approximately 6:30pm on August 1.

He stormed the business with a knife, pushing the female attendant and attempting to take cash from the register, which was empty, he then left the store empty handed.


No one was injured during the incident and he was last seen leaving in a large black SUV.

The man is described as Caucasian, 180cm tall, slim and wearing blue trousers, a black hoodie with white writing, a grey coloured peak cap and sunglasses with black shoes.
