Police investigating suspicious early-morning car fire on the Gold Coast

Investigations are underway after a massive car fire in Ashmore early this morning.

Emergency services rushed to the scene along Walabah Drive around 2.30 am, following reports that a car was on fire.

On arrival, it appeared a fire had spread from a sedan to three other cars, with all of the vehicles sustaining various degrees of damage.

Early indications show that the fire was deliberately started.

Paramedics were on standby at the scene, but there were no injuries reported.

Anyone with information is being urged to come forward as investigations continue.
