Police investigate series of frightening threats across Sydney
POLICE are currently investigating a series of frightening threats made across Sydney today.
Police have confirmed that a letter was sent to Merrylands Police Station today, threatening violence against non-Muslim people, Jewish schools and other stations.
Nine News reports the threatening letter was accompanied by a disturbing image showing an Islamic extremist surrounded by severed heads.
A bomb threat was also made targeting the Westfield shopping centre in Penrith.
It comes a day after staff and students at The University of New South Wales were threatened online.
The public are being reminded that it is a criminal threat to write violent messages online.
