Police attended the hotel and transported the four men to the Noosa Police Station.
An 18-year-old Canadian man is scheduled to appear in Noosa Magistrates Court tomorrow charged with two counts of fraud, and one count each of attempted fraud and possessing equipment for the purpose of committing an offence.
Officer in Charge of the Sunshine Coast District Detective Senior Sergeant Daren Edwards said the offence served as a timely reminder to carefully monitor credit cards statements.
“Keep a close eye on transactions and if anything appears out of the ordinary, then notify the police and your bank,” Detective Senior Sergeant Edwards said.
