Police look at possible bikie links between shootings and fire

INVESTIGATORS are looking into a possible connection between a building fire in Byron Bay and a shooting in nearby Tweed Heads.

At around 3.35am on Monday morning, crews rushed to the blaze on Brigantine Street to find a building, which is reported to have links to the Nomads Outlaw Motorcycle Gang, well alight.

Just ten minutes earlier, a round of shots were fired into a home on Anthony Way and at a car in Laura Street in Banora Point.
