Police looking into links between three Gold Coast break-ins

Investigations are underway after a number of break and enters across the Gold Coast overnight.

Two chemists and a convenience store were targeted across the city between midnight and 1.00 am.

Police report that a chemist along West Burleigh Road was smashed into first around 12.20 am but no items were stolen.

A second chemist along Slatyer Avenue in Bundall was then hit around 12.45 am, with thieves also smashing their way into the store.

They made off with some medication.

Just 15 minutes later, police report that a convenience store along Benowa Road in Benowa was broken into.

It’s understood a car reversed into the glass doors to gain entry before thieves loaded cigarettes and other items into the boot and drove off.

Police are looking into whether or not the break and enters are linked.

Investigations are continuing.
