Police looking to link two ram raids on the Gold Coast overnight

Gold Coast police have released footage of a break and enter incident in Tallebudgera overnight, where a car rammed into a liquor store before stealing alcohol.

Around 1.00am, a stolen white Mitsubishi ASX was caught reversing through the front glass doors of a bottle-o on the corner of Trees Road and Tallebudgera Connection Road.

Two men were seen taking bottles of alcohol from the shelves before returning to the car, then fleeing towards Trees Road.

The car was later found abandoned in a ditch off the Junction Road roundabout at Burleigh Heads, just after 4.00am.

Police say the vehicle had been stolen from an earlier burglary on Latimers Crossing Road at Advancetown, and could be connected to another break and enter in Currumbin Waters, where a car reversed into a vacant shop next door to a liquor store.

That incident happened sometime between midnight and 4.00am.

Anyone with information about either incident is being urged to come forward.
