Police nab alleged armed robber, almost seven years later

The long arm of the law has caught up with a man who is accused of a hold-up, north of the Gold Coast, almost seven years ago.

Detectives from the Logan District Criminal Investigation Branch Robbery Task Force have charged the man over the armed robbery of a service station in Boronia Heights, west of Beenleigh.

It is alleged around 2.20am on September 20, 2011 two men, one armed with a knife, entered the Middle Road business and made demands for money.


During the robbery it is alleged money and cigarettes were stolen.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

The 33-year-old man from Wellington Point has been charged with armed robbery and is due to face Beenleigh Magistrates Court on April 18.
