Police officer allegedly busted three times over the alcohol limit
A serving police officer has been charged with high range drink driving after he allegedly blew three times over the limit.
The 55-year-old was pulled over on Lanyon Drive in Queanbeyan just before 2.30am on Wednesday.
He was spoken to by police and underwent a random breath test which allegedly returned a positive result.
The man, who is a sergeant from a separate command in the Southern Region, was arrested and taken to Queanbeyan Police Station were he underwent a breath analysis and allegedly returned a positive result of 0.173.
He was charged with high range PCA and is due to appear at Queanbeyan Local Court on Monday 30 July.
