Police officer stabbed by woman in Logan

A police officer attending a disturbance in Logan this morning, sustained a stab wound to his leg during a struggle with a woman armed with a knife.

Police were called to the Lamberth Road address around 8.15am in response to a disturbance involving two women.

On arrival, they were confronted inside the home by a woman holding a knife.


The officer, a 47-year-old male senior constable, was transported to hospital for treatment to a non-life threatening stab wound to his leg.

A 49-year-old Regents Park woman was arrested at the scene and has been charged with unlawful wounding, as well as deprivation of liberty and assault occasioning bodily harm in relation to the disturbance involving a 50-year-old Regents Park woman.

The woman has been remanded in police custody and is due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court tomorrow.
