Police officer suspended with pay over assault allegations

A POLICE officer has been suspended with pay are being charged over two alleged assaults in Sydney.

The 31-year-old senior constable, identified only as being attacked to a specialist command, is alleged to have been involved in two assaults while on-duty in Parramatta in June and July last year.

Following investigations, the officer was issued with Future Court Attendance Notices on Tuesday.


He is due to front Fairfield Local Court on August 6, charged with common assault, affray, assault occasioning actual bodily harm and reckless grievous bodily harm.

In a statement today, the NSW Police Force confirmed the officer has been suspended with pay.
