Police officers charged over Gold Coast incident

TWO senior police officers have been charged following an incident on the Gold Coast.

In a statement to media, police said the incident allegedly occurred in Pacific Pines on 17 May last year.

A 48-year-old male Senior Sergeant will front Southport Magistrates Court on Thursday 29 September, charged with dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

A 50-year-old male Senior Constable will face the came court on 12 October, charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm or other malicious acts and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

Both officers are currently suspended.
