A MAN wanted by police for breaching his bail has allegedly headbutted an officer, splitting open his lip during an altercation at a train station in Sydney’s west.
Officers attached to the North West Transport Action Group spotted the wanted 38-year-old man standing on the platform at Blacktown Railway Station about 9.40am on Thursday.
As the officers went to arrest the man, it’s alleged he headbutted one of them, splitting open their lip.

The man was also allegedly found to be in possession of a knife.
He was taken to Blacktown Police Station where he was charged with breach of bail, assault police officer in execution of duty cause actual bodily harm, custody of a knife and offensive language.
The 38-year-old was remanded in custody and due to appear in Blacktown Local Court this afternoon.
