Police on high alert for Brisbane Stereosonic after another death

MUSIC fans heading along to the Stereosonic festival in Brisbane are being warned to be on their best behaviour.

Police say drugs will not be tolerated at the RNA Showgrounds event.

It follows deaths at both the Sydney and now Adelaide shows.

A 19-year-old man died in hospital on Saturday, after apparently taking an illicit drug.

While another man, 20, and a woman, 21, are both in a critical but stable condition in hospital.

In a statement on the Stereosonic website, organisers urged revellers to take care.

“Police and Stereosonic once again warn the public of the risks associated with taking any type of illicit substance.

“We are imploring people to see the dangers of the situation, enjoy the day and please be safe.”

A woman died following the Sydney event last weekend.
