Police on the hunt for armed carjacker

Police are searching for an armed carjacker who robbed a man in Beenleigh on Thursday night.

It’s understood the man was getting into his car in the car park of a Main Street business around 10.30pm when he was approached by a man holding a firearm.

The offender demanded the man hand over his keys. The victim complied and got out of the vehicle.

The man then fled the scene in the man’s car.

No one was physically injured during the incident.

The car is described as a green Holden Commodore with Queensland Registration 968 MXN and was last seen in the Mount Gravatt area around 2am today.

Police investigations are continuing.
