Man arrested after bomb scare at Sydney shopping centre
A SYDNEY shopping centre has been cordoned off after reports a suspicious package was found near the centre.
Emergency crews swooped on the Westfield shopping centre at Hornsby on the city’s Upper North Shore about 4pm AEDT.
There are unconfirmed reports a man claimed there was bomb packed inside a bag which he dumped inside a cafe.
Police have since confirmed a man has been arrested at the scene.
People have been asked to avoid the area.
