Police plea to drivers amid spate of crashes
Police are appealing for motorists to take extra this weekend after a series of horror smashes across the south east
A woman is fighting for life after a head-on crash in Logan in the early hours of Sunday morning.
A Toyota RAV4 collided with a Holden Commodore on Bumstead Rd at Crestmead around 1am.
The 18-year-old female driver of the RAV4 suffered critical chest and abdominal injuries and was rushed to hospital.
A 21-year-old man driving the Commodore was taken to hospital in a serious condition, also suffering chest and abdominal injuries.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating with Police appealing for anyone with dashcam footage to contact them.
In a separate incident, a man has died after a crash in Brisbane’s north.
A Mazda 3 was travelling on Telegraph Rd at Bracken Ridge around 10.30pm on Saturday night when the vehicle left the road and hit a tree.
The 37-year-old man from Meadowbrook died at the scene.
