Police probe cause of fatal three-car crash in NSW

POLICE are investigating the cause of a three-car crash in which a man was killed in Central West NSW.

The accident happened along the Lachlan Valley Way about 15km west of Cowra around 9.50am on Thursday.

Police said a Kubota RTV utility, a Mazda utility and a Mitsubishi Triton were all travelling in an easterly direction when they collided.

Following the collision, the Kubota left the roadway and crashed into a fence. The driver, a 69-year-old Cowra man, died at the scene.

The driver of the Mazda, a 27-year-old Oakley man, and the driver of the Mitsubishi, a 41-year-old Parkes man, were both taken to Cowra Hospital for mandatory blood and urine tests.

Investigations are continuing and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
