Police probe home invasion in Sydney’s south-west

POLICE are investigating a home invasion which occurred in Sydney’s south-west overnight.

Investigators say just after 9pm, a group of people burst into a unit at Riverwood and produced a weapon.

The intruders allegedly terrorised the occupants, assaulting one, before fleeing.


Police said one resident suffered a minor hand injury while trying to fight off the intruders.

Police said the injury was not considered life-threatening and the resident declined medical treatment.

A crime scene was established and examined by forensic officers overnight.
