Police race to reports of shots fired outside Brisbane home

POLICE are investigating after several shots were fired outside a house in Brisbane’s south-west this morning.

The incident occurred at an address on Spencer Street in Redbank around 10am.

It’s understood two men approached the rear of the house where they were confronted by a 37-year-old male resident.

Following a brief conversation, police said one of the two men produced a gun and fired it three times.

The armed duo then fled through the back yard of a Law Street address before getting into a white Nissan Patrol which was parked at a nearby business and driving away.

Police said the vehicle was last seen heading towards Ipswich on the Ipswich Motorway

Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.

Police are asking for anyone who heard the shots, saw the vehicle or witnessed anyone acting suspiciously in the area around the time of the incident to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
