Police redirect traffic after woman hit by car at busy Gold Coast intersection

A WOMAN has been taken to hospital with a broken leg after being run over by a car on the Gold Coast.

The woman, believed to be aged in her 60s, was struck on the corner of Crombie Ave and Bundall Road in Bundall just after midday.

Police redirected traffic around the scene while paramedics worked on the woman who was seen lying in the middle of the road before emergency services arrived.


The woman is believed to have sustained serious injuries, including a broken leg in the collision.

Ambulance officers stabilised her at the scene before transporting her to hospital for treatment.

Traffic was heavy through the area immediately following the collision, however, delays are beginning to ease.
