Police release CCTV footage in hunt for Gold Coast motorbike thieves [video]

POLICE have released security footage of a 4WD ute believed to have been used by a trio of thieves to steal a fleet of motorbikes from a property on the Gold Coast.

Five bikes were allegedly nicked from a private property on Maudsland Road at Oxenford on Tuesday afternoon.

Police said it was around 3pm when two men and one woman drove a silver Nissan Navara with black rims onto the property and loaded the bikes onto the back of the ute before driving away.


Detectives investigating the case have released CCTV footage of the Navara in the hope someone may recognise it.

The first man is described as Caucasian in appearance, aged in his twenties with a medium build, short brown hair, tattoos on both arms and wearing a white t-shirt.

The second man is described as Caucasian in appearance, with a slight build, short dark hair, tattoos on both arms and wearing a black singlet.

The woman is described as being Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander in appearance with black hair and wearing a dark, long-sleeve top, a baseball hat and sunglasses.

Police are encouraging anyone who may recognise the silver Nissan Navara or know the people involved to come forward and contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
