Police release CCTV images in hope of catching cunning shoplifters

POLICE have released CCTV images of a man and woman wanted in connection to an organised shoplifting near Newcastle last month.

Officers say the pair entered a Wallsend retail business on Tyrell Street around 10am on 25 September where it’s alleged the woman distracted an employee while the man walked around the store, allegedly stealing a mobile phone and a watch.

They left the store without incident and almost a month later remain on the run.
