Police release vision of two brazen ATM robberies at same Gold Coast business

Gold Coast detectives have released CCTV of two men they’re looking for as they investigate two linked robberies at an Ashmore business.

The first incident occurred back on March 20, with the vision showing two men arriving at the small supermarket and convenience on Slatyer Avenue around 1am in a stolen white 1998 Toyota Hilux utility.

The pair climbed onto the roof and gained entry to the store before using power tools to force open an ATM.

They managed to remove a significant amount of cash before climbing back out the roof and leaving in the stolen vehicle.

The ute was found burnt out near the Coombabah wetlands the following day.

Then on May 22, around 12.30am, two masked thieves have entered the same Slatyer Avenue convenience store by forcing their way through the roof.

Again, the pair used power tools to break into the ATM and got away with a significant amount of cash.

A Landcruiser stolen from Avi Court in Labrador was located on fire a short time later in Liam Court.

Investigators urge anyone who witnessed either of these incidents, or have information that could assist in identifying those responsible to contact them.
