Queensland Police have renewed their appeal for information and witnesses after two people were struck by a garbage truck in Burleigh on Tuesday.
Around 8.30am, a 49-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman were crossing the Gold Coast Highway when the truck, which is understood to have been turning from Goodwin Terrace, struck the pair.
The woman received serious head injuries while the man broke his leg.

The pair were transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital where they remain in a serious but stable condition.
Police are urging anyone that witnessed the incident and has not yet spoken to police to contact Crime Stoppers.
