Police save the life of a Carrara man
A MAN is lucky to be alive, after being resuscitated twice by Gold Coast Police officers.
The boys in blue were called to a hotel in Surfers Paradise around 10pm on Saturday in relation to a man causing a disturbance.
Upon their arrival at the Cavill Avenue apartment the man went into a state of semi-consciousness and stopped breathing.
The officers started CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation) and managed to revive the man, a 36-year-old Carrara local. But he again stopped breathing and officers needed to recommence CPR.
A defibrillator was used to bring the man back to life and he was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment.
