Emergency services are still searching the banks of the Pimpama River with the hope of finding the school uniform and backpack that 12-year-old Tiahleigh Palmer was wearing on the day she disappeared.
The schoolgirl was found dead on the banks of the Pimpama River by three fishermen on Thursday afternoon.

Her death is being treated as suspicious.
Detective Superintendent Dave Hutchinson reissued a public appeal for information on Saturday as SES crews joined Gold Coast police in the search for Tiahleigh’s belongings.
Police say she was last seen wearing her Marsden State High School uniform and carrying a multi-coloured Mambo backpack.
“We also want to make a general appeal for anyone who has any information at all about Tiah and her movements since Friday the 30th of October,” Detective Hutchinson said.
“We’re reasonably confident that if she planned on going somewhere that day then she would have spoken about it.
“We would ask the parents out there that have children at the Marsden State High School to speak to their children and ask the questions, find out if they know anything and if they do, give it to the police.”
