WATCH: Police searching for oddly-dressed thief after Gold Coast chemist robbery

LATEST @ 4.00 PM | Police are on the hunt for a man suspected of robbing a chemist in Oxenford last night with a tea-towel and hat on his head.

The man is believed to have threatened two female employees while demanding drugs at a business along Leo Graham Way around 10.00 pm.

One of the employees tried to call the police when the man apparently jumped the counter and stole packets of medication himself.

He then fled on foot, with no one physically injured at the scene.

Officers then attended, along with a police dog, but they’ve so far been unable to locate the man.

Police have released vision of the robbery, and are appealing for anyone who recognises the man in the below footage to come forward.

He is described as Caucasian with a solid build and was wearing a towel on his head, a peak cap, brown long sleeve top and black, red and white board shorts, white runners and green cotton gloves.
