Police searching for woman who bashed elderly driver in Logan

Police are on the hunt for a woman who bashed an elderly man following a car accident in Logan.

It’s understood the 83-year-old man was behind the wheel of a silver Toyota Camry around 2.30pm on Wednesday when he collided with a small red hatchback along Kingston Road, between Compton Road and Kenway Drive.

The woman behind the wheel of the other car got out and then proceeded to assault the elderly man.

He attempted to flee the scene in his car but the woman continued to follow him.

It’s then alleged she attacked him again when he stopped near Logan Road before members of the public ran to his aid.

The 83-year-old was left with injuries to his arm and shoulder.

Police are now searching for the woman involved, who is described as approximately 155cm tall, with olive skin, middle eastern appearance, and was wearing a shirt and trousers.

“Investigators are appealing to anyone who may have information, dashcam or CCTV footage of the area from around the time of the incident to contact police,” Queensland Police said in a statement.
