Police seek help to identify man who died after tripping on Sydney footpath

POLICE are appealing for public assistance to help identify a man who died after tripping over on a footpath in Sydney.

Paramedics were called to Beach Street in Coogee shortly before 1pm on Thursday to treat the man who had tripped and fallen while walking north along the footpath.

He was rushed to the Prince of Wales Hospital where sadly he died a short time later. Police are now appealing for public assistance to help identify the man.

He is described as being of Caucasian appearance, aged in his 60s, about 185cm-195cm tall, of solid build, with brown/grey hair and moustache, and blue eyes.

Police say he was seen wearing a grey t-shirt with a Hawaiian motif, navy blue Nike shorts, a navy blue bucket hat, and white and navy Nike joggers.
