Police seek help in Surfers assault and robbery

POLICE have released CCTV images of a man who may be able to assist with inquiries into an assault and robbery which occurred at Surfers Paradise last Sunday.

Early in the morning on August 17, two men were approached by a group on Riverview Parade who demanded property and money from them.

One of the men ran away but he was followed by one of the group and was punched in the head.


The other man was struck from behind and was rendered unconscious before his phone was stolen.

He was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital with non-life-threatening head injuries.

One of the group (pictured) is described as being Caucasian in appearance, around 178cms tall, of a slim build and has short brown hair.

He was last wearing a light coloured shirt under a light colored t-shirt, grey coloured pants and white shoes.

A second man has been described as Caucasian in appearance, around 176cm tall, of a slim build with short blonde hair and piercings through his lower lip.

A woman in the group was described as Caucasian, 163cm tall, of heavy build with long blonde hair who had her lower lip pierced.
