Police seek witnesses after 22-year-old killed in highway smash

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a fatal single vehicle crash in southern New South Wales.

It happened on the Hume Highway at Kyemba, south of Wagga Wagga, yesterday afternoon.

Police said a 22-year-old man was found trapped in the wreckage with life-threatening injuries.

Paramedics tried desperately to keep the man alive but he could not be saved and died at the scene.

Officers from the Riverina Police District are investigating the circumstances surround the crash.

They are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or the moments leading up to it, or may have dash cam footage, to come forward and call Crime Stoppers.
