Police seek witnesses after man critically injured in Gold Coast crash
A man is fighting for his life in hospital this afternoon following a multi-vehicle crash on the Gold Coast.
The accident happened at the intersection near the entrance to Hungry Jacks on Old Coach Road at Upper Coomera shortly after 10am on Saturday.
Police say two motorcycles travelling through the intersection from Commercial Street collided into the side of a ute as it turned right onto Old Coach Road from Coomera Grand Drive.
One of the riders and the driver of the ute, both females, escaped without injury.
The second rider, a man aged in his 20s, was not so lucky.
He suffered severe head and chest injuries and was rushed to Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.
Officers from the Forensic Crash Unit are investigating the cause of the accident and are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have dash cam footage to contact Policelink on 131444.
