POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a high speed head-on crash in Sydney’s northwest this afternoon which injured five people, including a young child.
The accident happened on Memorial Drive at Kellyville, about 35km northwest of the city, about 3.45pm when two vehicles travelling in opposite directions collided head-on.
Five people, including a seven-year-old child, were injured in the crash – a man and child in one car, and three adults in the other.

Early reports suggest some of the injuries are thought to be serious, with a rescue helicopter tasked to airlift victims.
Specialist crash investigators are at the scene, and are appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward.
