Police, SES return to GC river after Tiahleigh Palmer’s ‘shoe’ located

Police have this morning revealed that a shoe, believed to belong to Tiahleigh Palmer, was found on the bank of the Pimpama River last Sunday, sparking today’s SES search.

Both police and SES crews have descended in the Pimpama area where the body of 12-year-old Tiahleigh Palmer was found on November 5.

The Marsden school girl was last seen alive when her carer dropped her off at the Logan Highschool on October 30.

Detective Superintendant Dave Hutchinson revealed during a press conference this morning that police are following a number of positive leads in relation to the suspected murder of Tiahleigh and have appealed for anyone who may have been around the Pimpama bridge between 30th – 5th November to come forward.

The shoe, believed to belong to Tiahleigh was located 60m from the bridge over the Pimpama River, with police now studying the rivers tidal situation as they search for further evidence.

Footage taken several days before Tiahleigh disappeared, has also been released in the hope it will jolt someone’s memory.
