Police still hunting for stolen car involved in multiple Gold Coast offences

Police are still hunting for a stolen car, that’s been involved in multiple offences on the Gold Coast in the past month.

A dark grey Subaru Impreza with Queensland registration 487 WCM was taken from an address on Eden View Drive in Reedy Creek on April 8.

The car has since been involved in a number of offences, including impersonation a police officer on the Gold Coast, and registration plate theft.

Two plates were stolen: 263 YBR from a Worongary address and 959 WTW from a Yatala address.

The car was allegedly involved in impersonating a police officer on the M1 southbound near Elysium Drive at Carrara on April 16.

The driver of the car was allegedly wearing a Queensland Police Service baseball cap and driving alongside other drivers and telling them to pull over.

It’s believed no drivers complied.

Since April 25, the car has been involved in at least six different dangerous driving offences on the Gold Coast.

It was most recently seen yesterday in the Mudgeeraba area with damage to the rear bumper, bearing the stolen 959 WTW Queensland plates.

Anyone who sees the car is being urged to immediately contact police, and not to approach it.
