POLICE were shocked to discover a 13-year-old boy behind the wheel of a car they intercepted for a random breath test overnight.
The child was pulled over on Echuca Road in Mooroopna about 7.15pm, with a female adult in the passenger seat.
When officers asked the woman why the youngster was allowed to drive the car, she allegedly told them “He wanted to drive and I didn’t want to listen to the nagging”.

The boy was issued with a ticket for unlicensed driving.
The intercept was part of a state-wide holiday road operation, which sees police out in force to target drink and drug driving, speed, distraction, fatigue and failure to wear restraints.
